What are the facts about bullying in the army?

Are you ready to deal with any bullying in the army? Most soldiers aren’t bullied but it does happen and it can be rough.

The army is trying to deal with it but the problem hasn’t gone away. In training, you can be bullied because your team thinks you’ve let them down and the trainer punishes everyone for your mistake, for example.

In particular, the sexual bullying of women and racial discrimination are common in the army.

Here are the facts.

  • In 2020, 1 in 7 soldiers said they had been bullied by other soldiers in the last year – that’s about 9,000 soldiers.
